- An enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service
- A current Safeguarding Level 1 Certificate (as a minimum)
- A current Prevent Course Certificate
- Received training on Crisis Prevention and de-escalation techniques related to emotional and mental challenging behaviour and SEMH (caused by Fear and Trauma).
- Received training with a focus on those who also have ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), PDA (Pathalogical Demand Avoidance), ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), DLD (Developmental Language Disorder).
- Received training on our TOB (Theory of Being).
- Additional skills, qualifications and experience in managing behaviour through a diverse range of physical, mental and emotional modalities.

What do we mean by ‘alternative practitioners’?
You may refer to our staff as Temporary Workers or Agency Staff ; however, they are more than that. They are experienced Transitional Staff, Behaviour Managers, Mentors, Therapists, Teachers, Tutors, Sports Coaches, Instructors, Outdoor or Activity Leaders, Pastoral or Family Support Workers, TA’s, Supervisors, or even Managers (Hub Managers, Specialist Project Managers or Coordinators), we even have Educational Psychologist Students – we refer to them as ‘alternative practitioners’ because they are unique and deserve recognition in their own right (rather than just another ‘body’).
Most of our alternative practitioners are experienced life coaches, well-being specialists, energy therapists, holistic healers, behaviour, transitional, and intervention specialists, and experts in supporting children, young people, adults, parents, carers, families, and supporting others and staff.
We also provide this support to staff, parents and carers; because we all need it, and benefit from it.
What environments do we support:
Specialist Schools, alternative provisions, residential childcare homes, home school provision, Pupil Referral Units, and CAMHS psychological units.
We also support main stream schools who have children that have been allocated to them without a full or ‘correct’ EHCP/SEMH assessment, or with behavioural issues that are beyond the capacity or capabilities of existing or even contracted staff.
For schools our minimum contract is a half term for 4 or 5 days (or half-days) per week (we try not to work every Friday – as this is our staff training and well-being day). We can charge for a half day or a full day.
For residential childcare homes our minimum contract is one full shift (day or evening) – and we can also provide night cover.
An Emotionally Intelligent Approach:
Underpinning all that we do; and the very reason we were created, was to provide the highest quality behaviour management – BUT WITH A DIFFERENCE – with an emotionally intelligent approach.
We do not focus on behaviour – we focus on nurturing self-regulation through co-regulation, safety and trust. Our high caliber practitioners assess, monitor, and nurture trust and safety. This provides a solid framework to focus on emotional intelligence, self resilience and creativity. This is where our alternative practitioners have value – they are not simply cover staff; they have super desire and purpose, skills and experience to make a difference to the lives of the young people and the staff and management.
More specifically, we seek to support:
The positive – such as the gifted and talented, the bored and understimulated; those with purpose but no channel.
The negative and damaged – such as those on the verge of physical collapse and shutdown; those who behave as a victim or perpetrator; as dis-eased or stressed; as lacking or deficient; those with apathy or who are unenthusiastic; those who present with acquiescence or are compliant; those who procrastinate or are unbalanced; and those who seek to divide or are polarised, and also those who are simply unaware and inexperienced.
We support those with loss, fear, trauma, ACE’s, addictions, attachments, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, blame, guilt, shame, humiliation, despair, regret, grief, hate, anger, cravings, desires, and even those too stubborn or too proud to consider other options.

Project Management:
There are times when you may need more support than 1:1 for the children. You may need support in setting up a new provision, and this may be across multiple sites. We can provide someone to manage it, or support your management team. We even put forward innovative practical solutions that we can manage and role out with your existing staff or a team of our own alternative practitioners.
We can provide a LEADER OR MANAGER and or a team of strong individual practitioners that may combine to support and contribute to dynamic solutions and projects.
Use us effectively so you have more time do what you do best:
Please discuss your requirements in advance and we will try to match up our staffing to meet your exact needs. We even pull all our team together to discuss your plan of action – we actually plan solutions for our success with you. We also review our progress and refine our approach in conjunction with your needs and results.
This creative way of interacting may allow you to focus on other aspects of your provision whilst leaving a new project in safe hands. Such support may extend to support for the staff as well as the children; and it may extend to support for the parents and carers – everyone needs support; however, not everyone can provide what is needed – WE CAN!!
