We are seeking to be as professional as possible:

As part of our preparation for launching in January 2025 we are following guidance for audited education applicants for REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation).

In addition to demonstrating compliance with key industry legislation, we seek to evidence that key safeguarding legislation and best practice is followed.

We are seeking to implement the key points from the REC’s Code of Professional Practice (the REC Code), the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (the Conduct Regulations), and other relevant legislation.

Ensuring suitability and good safeguarding practice:

To ensure suitability and good safeguarding practice, the vetting of our Alternative Practitioners is built into our routine procedure and practice. Nowhere is this more important than in the recruitment and vetting of work-seekers that have contact with young people. We ensure we undertake the relevant checks at the right time. Relevant checks mean those that are required by law and the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education – Statutory guidance for schools and colleges 2022 issued by the Department for Education (DfE).

You must read and sign our current and up to date policy documentation (we will keep a copy of this in your file).

It is important that all our alternative practitioners are aware of the policies and processes in place with regard to our vetting procedures, and that you are able to apply these consistently. We need your signature to confirm you are aware of your statutory obligations, execute clients’ requests correctly, observe best practice and adhere to procedures. You will be sent all these documents by email as part of your on-boarding process with us.
